The Department of Defense SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program supports eligible students pursuing approved STEM degrees. Benefits include full tuition, annual stipends, allowances, summer internships, and employment with the Department of Defense after graduation. Applicants must meet citizenship, age, academic, degree, and security-clearance requirements and agree to one year of civilian service for each year of funding.
