The Ronald A. Hammond Scholarship, which honors the legacy of the University’s first director of minority affairs, is one of the premier scholarships available to students at the University of Miami.

The Hammond Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who, through evaluation of their application and supporting documents, demonstrate academic prowess, embrace diversity and inclusivity, and are steadfastly committed to community by creating a culture of belonging. Preference will be given to first generation students.
